The ID Mouse does not work
after installation of the ID Mouse Software. |
A resource allocation confict
may exist. In various BIOS versions the possibility of assigning Interrrupts
is given (Settings in BIOS in the menue Advanced - PCI Configuration
... IRQ Reservation). In Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System
Information - Hardware Resources - IRQs - USB Host Controller can be determined,
which INTERRUPTS the USB host occupies and this IRQ has to be assigned
in BIOS. |

If the Logitech driver LMOUFLTR.sys
(version 8.21.571) is installed, you will need to uninstall the driver
or install version 9.x. The previous version of the Logitech driver and
the USB Mouse driver cannot work abreast. |

This problem may occur,
if a AMD OHCI USB CONTROLLER is used. USB used may be read out from the
Device Manager in the directory USB (usually it is the first entry in the

Panel. Double click on System, click on tab control Device Manager. The

If the ID Mouse is plugged
off during operation, the system will notify, that the device was removed
without preceding deactivation, and that this may lead to data loss or
a system crash. |
You should avoid unplugging
off the ID Mouse during operation. You may activate the check box "Show
Unplug/Eject icon on the taskbar". This enables you to deactivate the ID
Mouse by clicking on this icon in the task bar before removing the ID Mouse.When
you click on the ID Mouse again this will reactivate the mouse and it is
incorporated automatically into the OS again. |

The installation of the
ID Mouse software was aborted. During the next attempt to install the software,
first a message is prompted that a current version of the software was
found, and second a message appears that insufficient memory space is available,
although sufficient memory space is available. |
Delete the Registry-Key
Siemens in HKEY-LOCAL-MACHINE-SOFTWARE and the directory C:\Program
Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{53DE1981-E7BD-11D4-953A-00A02483444C}.
The Registry may be started from the start menu - Run. Then enter the command
"regedit" in the input field. Further it is possible that you do not see
the directory " InstallShield installation information ". To see this directory,
you will have to select the option "Show hidden files and folders " in
the Windows Explorer under the menue "Folder Options" in the register "View". |

be manipulated when you boot your computer with a system floppy disk. |

masks is always used. |
In this case the uninstall

USB CONTROLLER. It is possible that you do not find the entry USB CONTROLLER
in BIOS, as for newer versions USB is activated automatically.
