BioIDENTICA® Registry

BioIDENTICA® Registry is a software component for registration of fingerprint for various applications (time & attendance, door access control, etc.). It cooperates with fingerprint sensor devices of different manufacturers without compatibility problems. Besides fingerprint reference data sets BioIDENTICA® Registry is able to create reference images which do not only allow a new off-line enrollment with BioIDENTICA® Registry, but also with foreign fingerprint technology. The reference data sets are suitable for minutiae matching as well as for correlation matchers. This enables a high-performance low-error-rate identification with more than 1000 reference fingerprints. BioIDENTICA® Registry is ready for networking and permits a data exchange with applications on further computers. Depending on the organization of the registration process, BioIDENTICA® Registry is able to fulfill low, medium, and high security requirements.

Main Product Features

  • Easy and fast administration when applied as enrollment station
  • Full interoperability with different fingerprint scanners
  • Creation of encrypted reference data sets
  • Suitable for identification 1:1000 and higher
  • Generation of reference images in bitmap (BMP) format
  • Data exchange with further fingerprint applications via LAN
  • High recognition performance thanks to BioIDENTICA® SDK

Functionality

Enrollment
The enrollment essentially determines the performance of biometric identification during real-life operation. For that reason BioIDENTICA® Registry offers an automatic user guidance which delivers cause-oriented hints for optimum handling of the enrollment procedure. Per person up to 10 fingerprints can be registered. Per finger three samples are acquired for optimum generation of the reference data set. The following user data can be entered during the registration:
  • User ID (alpha numerical)
  • Name (alpha numerical)
  • Beginning of validity period (year, month, day)
  • Expiration of validity period (year, month, day)
Archive management
The reference data sets provided for comparison in subsequent applications are stored as encrypted separate files in a directory ("archive"). The archive management tool allows a display of each registered user. All data associated to a fingerprint may be altered using the archive management function of BioIDENTICA® Registry. Derollment is done by simply deleting a user.
Test identification
BioIDENTICA® Registry provides a test identification of registered (and of course not registered) persons with display of the user data. This way, e.g., the status of registration or derollment can be checked.
Update local archives
This function updates the reference data archives on further computers via LAN. Date and time of the last update is displayed.
Options
In the menu "options" the directories of the reference archive and the fingerprint image archive can be chosen. Furthermore, the back-up images from the fingerprint image archive can be enrolled anew without recapturing.
