FSMU0050 (UPEK TCEFC1)
The FSMU0050 is a ready-to-install fingerprint module that conforms to the US FIPS 201 specification for Single Finger Capture Devices as related to the PIV (Personal Identity Verification) program. This product enables product manufacturers to avoid the technical details associated with the assembly and calibration of this type of device, simplifying the integration of this type of fingerprint reader into their products. For low quantities from several hundreds to several thousands, it is also the most cost-efficient solution since the electrical design already has been optimized for FIPS, CE, and ESD requirements. The modules can directly be connected to USB and then have access to a multitude of PC software solutions. For own software applications various SDKs are available, all ahead our BioIDENTICA® SDKs which even allow to mix various different sensor devices.
Additionally, the FSMU0050 which is equal to the "TCEFC1" fingerprint module from UPEK can be operated as an all-in-one stand-alone solution capable of performing all the necessary functions to capture, enrol, and compare fingerprints. The system is fully calibrated and ready for field deployment with all required external circuitry.
