 The
BiRD 3 from TST Biometrics is a fingerprint sensor with touchless optical
capturing of the finger pattern. An remarkable advantage of this method
is the complete absence of latent prints on the sensor surface. This way,
software measures for rejection of latent prints with its resulting increase
in false reject rate (FRR) becomes obsolete. Further advantages are the
insensitivity against contaminated, wet, or dry fingers. The BiRD 3 is
especially suited to multiuser applications with high authentication frequency,
e.g., in physical access control. An extensive collection of accessories
meets most diverse installation requirements, environmental conditions,
and interface configurations. |
