BioIDENTICA® Access
Control
BioIDENTICA®
Access Control is an application software for PC based biometric access
control systems. It works
together with fingerprint sensor devices of different manufacturers without
any compatibility problems. BioIDENTICA® Access Control allows
a highly performing identification with more than 1000 stored fingerprints.
BioIDENTICA®
Access Control is ready for networking and obtains
its biometric reference data sets from BioIDENTICA®
Registry. Depending on the fingerprint scanner BioIDENTICA®
Access Control meets low and medium security requirements. High security
requirements are achieved in combination with further authentication means.

Functionality
| Identification |
| BioIDENTICA®
Access Control continuously reads out the fingerprint scanner. As
soon as a usable fingerprint is detected, the identification process starts.
In the case of a positive result, BioIDENTICA®
Access Control outputs corresponding control signals via the serial
port which are suitable for the activation of an electrical door opener
and signaling lamps. Simultaneously, the scanner output image and the identification
result is displayed on the PC monitor.
BioIDENTICA®
Access Control possesses a latent print recognition and rejection. |
| Door control |
BioIDENTICA®
Access Control outputs the following states via a serial port:
-
Green: access granted (10s)
-
Yellow: stand-by
-
Red: authentication failed - repeat trial
after 10 seconds
With the aid of an optional relay card three
appropriate lamps and a door opener magnet can be driven. |
| Logging functions |
BioIDENTICA®
Access Control stores the following data in a logging file:
-
Identification date and time
-
Identification result (successful, fail)
-
Comparison result (maximum score value)
-
ID number for the maximum score value
Furthermore, BioIDENTICA®
Access Control offers the possibility to store the finger images
of each transaction. |
| Archive update |
| BioIDENTICA®
Access Control is equipped with an automatic update which regularly synchronizes
the local archive with the centrally stored reference data archive by LAN.
Additionally, the update can be forced from the identification PC manually
every time. |
| Settings |
| In
the menu "Options" the directories for the local reference data archive,
the central reference data archive, and the logging data can be chosen.
Further settings are provided for the serial port and the daily time for
reference data update. |
