Under
Windows
7, Windows Update installs the required
drivers on the first connection of sensor devices which support "Windows
Biometric Framework" (WBF). This enables a biometric logon to the operating
system without purchasing extra software. (If the driver is not found,
appropriate WBF drivers may be downloaded from the manufacturers' home
pages.) You should skip this installation if you intend to use a more powerful
professional logon software which typically uses other drivers! >>>Installation
For
devices with UPEK sensor we also recommend the Protector
Suite from UPEK.
Available are versions for PC and Mac. For most sensor devices from UPEK,
the download of the limited version of Protector Suite 2009 is already
included in the hardware price. >>>Protector
