Payment transactions in branchlets of HypoVereinsbank
now are supported by fingerprint technology from Bromba. Integrated into
an application software from Pergamon and implementing a "four-eyes principle",
more safety for the employees is achieved. After a four-months pilot phase
the system, which is working with sensor devices from Cherry, now has been
fully deployed and proves its feasibility in daily use. ->

software products: BioIDENTICA® Registry and BioIDENTICA®
Access Control. Based on standard PCs, a low-cost networked door access
control system can be built up which identifies the users by processing

has been registered by Bromba. It stands for biometric identification and
will be used for the premium fingerprint identification products from Bromba
which are based on the new SDK 2.0. The first product will be the Bromba

Device SDK 2.0". Further products based on BioIDENTICA® Device

A new comparative evaluation study is available
from Bromba. Four devices have been tested with respect to FAR and FRR,
shown as Receiver Operating Characteristic: Cherry FingerTIP ID Mouse,
ST TouchChip Reader, Cherry FingerTIP ID Board G83-14200, and Cherry FingerTIP
ID Board G83-14100. These devices contain the three fingerprint sensors
FingerTIP v2.2 from Infineon, TouchChip® from ST, and AES4000 from

3.0. This version is the successor of the successful ID Center XS™ v2.1.
Among the new features are: newest fingerprint technology, fast identify,
and relaxation (for certain users exceptions from the application policy
are definable). Furthermore, a two-factor authentication using chip cards
is available. Last, but not least, physical access in combination with

and sales of fingerprint sensor devices from the Siemens
division Information and Communication Mobile ("Siemens mobile"). Cherry
already cooperated with Siemens in the past in developing and launching
products with fingerprint sensor. By the partner company Bromba GmbH Cherry
will also offer service and support for end users especially for the products
ID Mouse and ID Mouse Professional from Siemens mobile. The recognition
algorithms for identification of users by their fingerprint have also been

of TeleTrusT e.V. and DIN e.V. to actively promote biometrics and its worldwide
ISO standardization. TeleTrusT
is a non-profit organization for the promotion of trustworthiness of information
and communication technology. Its working group 6 is the most important
platform in Germany regarding biometrics technologies. DIN,
the German Institute for Standardization, is a registered association,
founded in 1917. Its head office is in Berlin. Since 1975 it has been recognized
by the German government as the national standards body and represents
German interests at international and European level. Its working group
NI-37 is the national mirror committee of ISO/IEC
JTC 1/ SC 37 (biometrics). |
