New release of Bromba's BioIDENTICA
SDK supports all sensors from UPEK
Good news for all fingerprint
integrators and customers of BioIDENTICA SDK: With Edition 16, Bromba
Biometrics has integrated the extension BioIDENTICA UPK for stripe
sensors from UPEK into their basic SDK which now suppoprts all sensors
from UPEK without additional charge. Even terminal server operation is
now possible with sensors from UPEK. Besides a number of smaller improvements
for sensors from Authentec and the touchless fingerprint scanner from TST,
the latest SDK provides the newest drivers for devices from SecuGen, Cherry
and Cross Match Technologies. BioIDENTICA SDK customers may contact

UPEK Eikon Solo: A new low-cost
fingerprint sensor device
UPEK has launched a new fingerprint
swipe sensor device called Eikon Solo. Eikon Solo is the most cost efficient
USB fingerprint scanner of the Eikon family. It comes in the popular Eikon
form factor, built with UPEK's smallest TCS5 sensor. Eikon Solo is aimed
at high volume consumer market or for applications that are extremely cost
sensitive. Nevertheless, its sensor is one of the electrically and mechanically
most robust ones developed so far. Eikon Solo is available and shipping
from Bromba immediately. ->Eikon

BioIDENTICA FF supports
terminal server operation
The recently finalized edition
3 of Bromba's easy-to-integrate fingerprint SDK BioIDENTICA FF now
is applicable on terminal servers and corresponding clients. This enables
a secure program access on the server, authorized by biometrics. Fast as
well as slow server connections are supported seemlessly - this has not
been self-evident until now! Among other new features, BioIDENTICA
FF supports all UPEK sensors without extra charge. BioIDENTICA FF
customers may ask for a free upgrade! ->BioIDENTICA®

Now available: UPEK EikonTouch™
500
Following the EikonTouch
300 and the EikonTouch 700, the
series production of the fingerprint sensor device EikonTouch
500 from UPEK has ramped up. This enables Bromba Biometrics to
offer its customers UPEK sensor devices for nearly every authentication
task such as desktop and multiuser applications in a wide range of environments.
The EikonTouch 500 profits by the same SteelCoat™ sensor coating already
known from the cost-effective EikonTouch 300 but disposes over the larger
sensor area of the EikonTouch 700. (In the meantime, the latter is considered
as the very specialist for recognizing even difficult fingers - without
affecting normal fingers.) This makes the EikonTouch 500 one of the most
robust fingerprint sensors available on the market. Among other benefits,
the EikonTouch series offers encrypted image transmission, a casing with
dust and moisture protection according to IP63, and a latent print protection
which even works without software measures. Bromba Biometrics supports
integrators with its BioIDENTICA®
SDKs, especially BioIDENTICA®
FF. All sensors of the Eikon series can also be operated on remote
desktops in connection with terminal servers. ->EikonTouch

New product distributed by Bromba
Biometrics: UPEK's fingerprint sensor module
With the FSMU0050, Bromba extends
their fingerprint sensor module programme by a sensor components which
fulfills the strong requirements of the US government standard FIPS 201.
The module which is manucatured by UPEK under the name TCEFC1, represents
the state of the art in semiconductor fingerprint sensing technology. The
FSMU0050 does not only provide high-quality fingerprint images which are
compatible to BioIDENTICA SDKs;
for special applications also the complete biometrics processing has been
integrated. Target customers are hardware integrators who are looking for
the best for their application while keeping integration effort small.
