Bromba has integrated the professional fingerprint
scanner L SCAN 100 from Smith Heimann Biometrics into the current SDK 2.0
version. This optical scanner provides a top image quality and ruggedness
and represents the state of the art of fingerprint sensing technologies.
The target applications are applications where many people use the same
sensor device such as in physical access and border control. ->

Siemens Austria has released ID Center version
3.0. This version is the successor of the successful ID Center XS™ v2.1.
Among the new features are: newest fingerprint technology, fast identify,
and relaxation (for certain users exceptions from the application policy
are definable). Furthermore, a two-factor authentication using chip cards
is available. Last, but not least, physical access in combination with
SIPASS™ from Siemens Building Technologies is supported! ->

In the evaluation study "Biofinger I" of the
"Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik" (BSI) which
has been published today, the fingerprint algorithm of Bromba gains the
top position. Seven algorithms together with 11 sensors have been compared.

series with the model G83-14200 which comes with a new card
reader unit and a fingerprint sensor from Authentec.
The keyboard is available now. From Bromba a software extension for the
ID Device SDK 1.9 is available, yielding an unbeatable combination in state-of

enhancement of the approved Siemens ID Mouse Professional software of the
fifth generation. Version 5.1 is fully compatible to version 5.0. In addition
